A bit about me …

Why choose Fortisen Legal?

I handle all my cases personally – you won’t be handed off to another lawyer.

I am committed to educating my clients – so you can make fully informed decisions about your future.

I believe in efficiency and in finding effective solutions – I won’t drag your case out.

I believe in the importance of fact checking, and that the devil is in the detail – this allows me to deliver accurate, cost effective and timely advice.

I possess an in-depth understanding of both family law and domestic violence law.

I don’t believe in fixed pricing – your strategy and your costs should be unique to your needs.

I am a litigator with experience in many facets of the law – I know how to manage and resolve difficult disputes that may end up in court.

I am empathetic and considered – I will seek to understand your personal situation before recommending a strategy.

Investing the time to seek out and double check all the facts and details of my client’s situation up-front allows me to deliver precise, timely advice, and manage communication with third parties with confidence and efficiency. This commitment to maintaining accurate, professional records also helps me to create a clear, cost-effective strategy for my clients.

Who do I work for?

I work for respondents, not aggrieved

Let me be clear – I work for respondents, not aggrieved. Simply by talking to an aggrieved person who wants to help their partner get an order dropped, I could be conflicted out of acting on behalf of the respondent.

I would hate for that to happen. If you’re an aggrieved trying to help your partner, best you ask them to contact me directly.

What does it cost?

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits all approach when it comes to representing my DV clients. I will work with you to create a strategy that aligns with your financial position and unique situation.

Step one is to book a Defence Strategy Session, which is a commitment of 1.5 to 2 hours (on the phone), and $660. It’s the best money you will spend when it comes to preparing for what’s to come.

In this session I will cover off:

The courts I appear in …

While we are based in Southeast Queensland, I can help you no matter where you live in Queensland.

I have appeared in the majority of courts, including Brisbane, Bundaberg, Caboolture, Caloundra, Cleveland, Dalby, Emerald, Gatton, Gympie, Hervey Bay, Holland Park, Ipswich, Maroochydore, Maryborough, Nambour, Nanango, Noosa, Pine Rivers, Proserpine, Redcliffe, Richlands, Sandgate, Southport, St George, Toogoolawah, Toowoomba, and Wynnum.

Did you know?

An order might prohibit you from returning to your own home and can dictate where you can and cannot go?
